WHO DO YOU TRAIN?

I can train both males and females of any age and ability.

 

A free consultation helps me decipher your goals, and the analysis I undertake helps me create a customised training programme that suits your body, and a regime that you’re comfortable with.

WHAT DAYS AND TIMES CAN I BOOK IN? (DOESN'T APPLY TO ONLINE SERVICES & PROGRAMMES)

I understand people are living busy lives so my hours are flexible to suit all needs.

My current availability is always updated on my Instagram (see 'Availability' highlight) and Facebook (see pinned post) @daniellongfitness.

WHAT IS THE FREE CONSULTATION AND HOW DO I BOOK? (DOESN'T APPLY TO ONLINE PROGRAMMES)

This normally takes 30-45 minutes (via ZOOM), and is a completely free consultation that includes a health, dietary and lifestyle analysis.

​

It will give you the opportunity to talk very openly about your goals and objectives, and I can obtain the information required to create a customised training programme for you to achieve them.

​

It helps me ascertain what exercises work best for you, and you’re most comfortable with.

​

Your FREE consultation will be booked alongside your chosen programme.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR'S NOTE OR SIMILAR?

All clients must complete a PAR-Q before commencing any exercise programme.

 

This is a Physical Readiness Questionnaire which can be accessed via my app; it will help to identify any health restrictions.

​

As such I may require a letter of ‘medical clearance’ from your GP. Please be aware that your GP may charge you for this.

​

All client information will be kept strictly private and confidential.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL A SESSION? (DOESN'T APPLY TO ONLINE SERVICES & PROGRAMMES)

A minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation is required for all appointments, so I can reallocate your session.

​

Notice of less than 24 hours will incur full payment of the session fee.

​

WHAT IF I'M RUNNING LATE? (DOESN'T APPLY TO ONLINE SERVICES & PROGRAMMES)

If the client is late for a session, the session will not be extended and will end at the appointed time.

​

If the trainer is late, additional time will be added to the session or to subsequent sessions.

WHERE DOES THE TRAINING TAKE PLACE? (DOESN'T APPLY TO ONLINE SERVICES & PROGRAMMES OR VIRTUAL TRAINING SERVICES)

Mobile Training - this takes place in a location convenient for both you and I. I will try to find somewhere in the middle of both postcodes for ease.

Gym Training - this takes place in a private gym, located in UB9.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Clothes should be fit for purpose – comfortable and non-restrictive.

 

Footwear should be comfortable and provide adequate support.

ARE YOU A QUALIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER?

Yes. I am a fully qualified personal trainer

WHAT EXERCISES WILL WE DO? I'M WORRIED THEY'LL BE TOO DIFFICULT (DOESN'T APPLY TO ONLINE PROGRAMMES)

I carry out all kinds of exercises, but I'll only do the exercises that you feel comfortable doing. 

 

My job is to find a training programme that you’re happy with and that you’ll stick to in order for you to reach your goal.

HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY?

All payments must be made by cash/bank transfer (BACS). The only exception to this is payments for online services & programmes, which must be paid for via credit/debit card via my Daniel Long Fitness app. All deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Online programmes - full payment must be made at time of sign up by credit/debit card via my Daniel Long Fitness app.

 

Online services (1-1 coaching) - recurring payments will be taken on a monthly basis via credit/debit card via my Daniel Long Fitness app (you can cancel this at any time).

​

Personal training (1-1/small group) & Bridal Blitz (with Daniel himself) - A 25% deposit must be paid to secure your booking via bank transfer (BACS). The remaining 75% will be split over the rest of your course in weekly payments, which will need to be paid in cash. These weekly payments must be paid on the first session of each week.

​

Personal training (1-1/small group) (with another trainer in the team) - Full payment must be made at time of booking via bank transfer (BACS).

​

Virtual training - A 25% deposit must be paid to secure your booking via bank transfer (BACS). The remaining 75% will be split over the rest of your course in weekly payments via bank transfer (BACS). These weekly payments must be paid on the first session of each week.

​

Bootcamp - payment must be made by cash at the start of each session.

I’VE STRUGGLED WITH MY WEIGHT AND FITNESS FOR A LONG TIME, HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

The purpose of a personal trainer is to provide a specific programme based on underpinning expert knowledge.

 

Each client has an initial consultation (doesn't apply to online programmes) discussing barriers, objectives and goals in preparation to beginning training.

​

The barriers to achieving your goals are just as important, so we can identify these and look at ways at overcoming them.

​

It is my job to both advise and motivate you to maintain your full commitment to the programme and to continually adapt and progress your programme to keep you interested and focused on achieving your goals.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND OR RELATIVE? (DOESN'T APPLY TO ONLINE SERVICES & PROGRAMMES)

Yes. I offer 1-1 training or small group sessions. Whether it’s working out as a couple or bringing up to three friends, I have the package to suit you.

HOW DOES ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING WORK? (1-1 COACHING ONLY)

Online personal training is a comprehensive fitness coaching service that involves designing a physical training programme and step-by-step nutrition guidance that will help you achieve your goals and transform your body in a timely yet healthy fashion.

​

Your programme is designed on a bespoke basis, based on you providing me information about your exercise history, current fitness levels and personal logistics (by way of gym access, home fitness equipment, etc).

​

I also ask you to send over a 'before' style picture, body measurements and current weight, as this allows me to gauge your current level of muscularity, body fat and of course body type (Meso, Endo, Ecto).

​

When it comes to nutrition, you'll be provided calorie goals and macro splits that are specific to you. You will also be able to track these easily through the Daniel Long Fitness app.

HOW DOES VIRTUAL TRAINING WORK?

Virtual training is a comprehensive fitness coaching service done virtually that involves designing a physical training programme and step-by-step nutrition guidance that will help you achieve your goals and transform your body in a timely yet healthy fashion.

​

You will need access to a laptop/computer that has a functional webcam. You will also need to have a ZOOM account, which you can download for free. Once you have downloaded ZOOM, I will then send you over a meeting link, for you to click on to allow you to join the virtual session with myself.

​

Your programme is designed on a bespoke basis, based on you providing me information about your exercise history, current fitness levels and access to various fitness equipment.

​

I also ask you to send over a 'before' style picture, body measurements and current weight, as this allows me to gauge your current level of muscularity, body fat and of course body type (Meso, Endo, Ecto).

​

When it comes to nutrition, you'll be provided calorie goals and macro splits that are specific to you. You will also be able to track these easily through the Daniel Long Fitness app.

WHAT WOULD WORK BEST FOR ME? A SET PROGRAMME OR 1-1 COACHING?

It really does depend on what you are looking to achieve!

If you're looking for a non-customised, structured training plan and nutritional advice, then one of our programmes is probably best for you.

​

If you're looking for something that is more personalised and tailored to your individual needs, then 1-1 coaching is the way to go.

DO I NEED TO HAVE GYM ACCESS OR FITNESS EQUIPMENT TO DO THE ONLINE PROGRAMMES, 1-1 COACHING OR VIRTUAL TRAINING?

DL12 - Yes, you will need to purchase a set of resistance bands and a pair of dumbbells, but no you do not need gym access.

​

Mums Body Blast - No, because this programme is comprised around body-weight movements, so you will not need to have access to a gym or fitness equipment.

​

Online 1-1 Coaching/Virtual Training - No, because each programme is written on a bespoke basis. I will work with whatever fitness equipment you have available to you. Where you do not have gym access and are in need of some pieces of equipment to achieve your goal, I will make those recommendations.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER FOR MOBILE PERSONAL TRAINING?

I currently cover a 10-mile radius of UB9.

​

I am in the process of recruiting personal trainers to join the Daniel Long Fitness team, so other areas will be available and covered in the near future.

​
